Creation of NYU OSIS CEIA program.


Creation of NYU Continuing Education Courses in Poland.


The Executive Boards of OSIS and the Central European Implant Academy (CEIA) announce the creation of cooperation between their continuing dental educational curriculum and that of Linhart Continuing Dental Education Program, College of Dentistry New York University.

Prof. Andrzej Wojtowicz of the Medical University of Warsaw  and Dr. Piotr Majewski of the College of Dentistry at Jagellonian University , Krakow, have accepted the roles of Directors of Continuing Education for the NYU approved postgraduate program and for other NYU Continuing Dental Education programs presented in Poland.

All courses offered under this cooperation will apply toward the OSIS requirements of training for Dental Implantologist qualification in Poland.  Additionally, the directors announce commencement of a series of six sessions under a new program to receive a Certificate of Continuing Education in Implantology and Oral Rehabilitation from New York University, OSIS and CEIA.  The sessions will be conducted in both New York University and in Poland.

Commenting on the new level of cooperation, Ken Beacham, Assistant Dean of Linhart Continuing Dental Education Program, College of Dentistry New York University, stated: “As one of the leaders in international dental education, NYU is committed to working with our Polish colleagues in developing practical and quality evidence based educational opportunities in dental implantology. The modern practice of implantology requires ongoing knowledge and confidence to successfully meet the growing needs and demands of the informed patient.”

The first jointly organized course segment in the series is scheduled for January 25-29, 2010, at NYU.
